In the previous article, you have been guided to Install WooCommerce Plugin in 2 ways which are from WordPress Dashboard and from WordPress.org. However, it still has other setups that you have to do after activating the plugin. Thus, this article will help you clearly understand about each section of Wizard Setup and how to run it.
The wizard is a tool having a customizable e-commerce platform. It has a lot of available settings to set up the store and be ready to accept payment.
Setup Wizard In WooCommerce
Once you activate WooComerce plugin, the system will request you to Run the Setup Wizard as the below image:
Select the button “ Run the Setup Wizard “, you will be redirected to the onboarding wizard:
Click “ Let’s Go” to start !
First, this section will introduce some crucial pages such as Shop, Cart, Checkout and My Account.
Click “Continue” to automatically install pages.
In this section, add your store`s location, currency, weight and dimensional units for shipping calculations.
The system will automatically identify your location using the IP and selects the country, currency, and units.
Confirm that the information is correct, and then click “ Continue ”
Shipping & Tax
You can enable the Shipping & Tax if you want.
Another section appears when you enable “ charging sale tax “, you can choose “enter price inclusive/exclusive of tax“ and the following tax rates will be imported automatically for you.
Select your store’s payment method.
- Both PayPal and Stripe are free and are downloaded automatically from WordPress.org.
- If you enable PayPal Standard, enter an email address associated with that account.
Now your store is ready to add and sell products.
Click on the purple button “Create your first product” to add products and make your own store.
Rerun Wizard Setup
If you want to setup the Wizard again:
Go to: Products >>> Help >>> Setup Wizard and click on the button “Setup Wizard”
