In this post, we’ll learn about WooCommerce Tag Management. As you might know, the product categories WooCommerce provides you with the option to create and manage. Similarly, you can use the WooCommerce Tag as another way to categorize the products you have on your online site. Next, we will show how exactly you should be able to do that. Let’s begin!
Managing WooCommerce Tag is rather simple. Indeed, you should get the job done after three steps.
Step 1: Access to Edit Tag page
So as to manage the Tags on your Online Store, you receive a dedicated page within the admin area of your WordPress based website. After of course, logged into WordPress and get to WooCommerce place, you will need to navigate to
Products > Tags
Step 2: Add new Product Tags details
By now, you should arrive to the Edit Tag Page. You will probably first notice that the page is vertically separated into two halfs. The left section serves to create category and in order to do so you need to fill the following options:
- Name – The name of the tag
- Slug – The slug to the URL used by this tag
- Description – The description of the tag
Once you finish with these settings > click Add New Product Tag button to add the new tag.
Step 3: Edit/Delete existing Product Tags
Now you can add a Product Tags easily. However, the tags do not exist permanently and you can either edit or delete the existing ones with absolute ease. On the right session of the Tags management page, you will find a table view containing all of the tags you currently add on your Store.
You should simply hover over the tag and click on the Edit button. Then you will be redirected to a separate page called Edit Product Tag where all the edits on the selected Tag will be performed.
Once you are done editing the Tag > click Update button (at the page bottom) so that every edits can be saved. Moreover, you can return and edit your tag constantly whenever it’s necessary.
The last action which you may already notice is the delete action. Any tag can be easily deleted by a press to the Delete button in the table view. Once a tag is deleted whether accidentally or intendedly, there is no way to get it back. Simple as that
